Hey guys... I know this is not perfect normals, but VXLSE III will feature a new normalizer: The Cubed Normalizer. The old one will be called 6-faced normalizer (since it only compares with the 6 neighboor faces, while Cubed Normalizer takes all 26 squares close to it.

The voxel below is a Mad Dog that I've found at YR Argentina. I think Weeraby did this one (correct me if I'm wrong).

The picture below shows both normalizations. At the left, the new cubed normalizer. In the right, we have the old 6-faced normalizer. It looks like these games where you have to find the 7 differences Laughing, but please, point out which one you prefer and why? Here's the picture:

Comparing, each one has smoothed normals in places the other does not. Overall, left seems better but right isn't all that bad.

The one on the left for sure, a clear example is the legs and arms, the new one blends them together better and makes it look less pixelated Smile

This picture is old. The cubed normalizer received an improvement and became better than that Wink.
