Looks promising and fun so far! Tank Paradrop is a fine idea, however those planes need to be bigger. I know strategy games need to be a bit out-of-scale but this just doesn't look right #Tongue

Well,this isn't the final version.The11thROCK,the guy in charge of this mod,made those screenies 2 months ago.In the final version everything will be scalled down and made just right.

hmm well ok, but dont you think paratrooping tanks is abit unreal in a sense, and the title screen looks like a simple paint "cut n paste" make it blend in better.

Actually,the USA is deceloping new kinds of tanks which can be paradroped.And this isn't a cut'n'paste,this is a real in-game screenshot,but like I said,this will be made better.

The story of Project Alpha mod:

Decades passed, the times has changed. A new apocalyptic threat is brewing, and the innocent world may not be ready to face it. The year is 2015, while all the world powers are in dire  situation to face the global world crisis, everybody seems to deny it. The Union of Soviet Socialists Republic, International Liberalists Army, The Communist Republic of China, The European Union, The Alliance of Asian Nations, The Holy Land of Israel, United Kingdom, and The United States of America; all of them, not one, shuns information or even the knowledge of it. Yet the threat of an incoming World War III cannot be denied as all of these global super powers possess weapons dreaded for mass destruction and hordes of war-ready armies. Even worse, another terrifying force of world domination is at hand. As the exiled Yuri himself  managed to escape the chronoshift prehistoric time warp, with the help of a mysterious group of powerful individuals. Silly, those paratanks are carried by Carryalls, they are not a superweapon! Why do you claim Carryalls as impossible on your site? The only thing about those I can say it's that they are buggy #Tongue

"New Modding Generation" my ass. The guy just took some 20 random ideas and mixed em together. Nothing but n00bism can come out of that.

Mods like this is one of the main reasons why I think Rock Patch should have stayed a private project - it opened the door for such ridiculous "mods" to exist.

As has been said before, paratanks are bugged big time. Not to mention all those other "innovations" he has. Btw, RTFE, you can't INCLUDE the TX in your mod. You can only SUPPORT it. Same for Assault.

Sounds ok... could be more original though.. keep to the timeline, but please I beg you, don't mirror this to GDI & NOD, or Allied VS Soviets & Yuri, its been overly done..

Yeah I also do, especially the part of ''near its completion'' From where they would they get Atlantis buildings? Or Nazi buildings... You know to do a new side completely from scratch is quite a harsh job.. And it's even more job if you're sides are from fairy-tales. Cool

OK,I'll start with your critics one by one:

1.This is the early,not-complete story.The real one will be ready in a few months and will be as original as possible.We shall include everything in it you want,as long as it is good.
And just to say,this story takes place in an alternate universe,where nothing is quite logical.So that you can get factions like the NAZIs and Germany as a part of the EU etc.Those are just a result of time travel.And the Army of humans from the future is GDI/NOD,now named Tiberian Empire.And there might be missions in the past in Roman times or the middle ages.There can even be cavemen,but all those time-travellers are not as a playable side.

2.By near completion we mean that in a few months the alpha version of the mod might be ready.

3.Speeder,DCoder,the fact that the mod supports Rock patch and has paratanks isn't criminal.(And Speeder,I didn't know Mental Omega had paratanks.How can I build them in the mod?)

4.Tyler,why do you doubt it.The units that are listed are already made.

I didn't say that was criminal. I said that the mod is using false advertisements to increase the hype and fanbase. If you need to use false advertising in order to find fans, your mod ain't worth jack.

It's you rchoice not wanting to register to see our innovations and ideas.Of cource not all of them are going to make it in the final version,but most of them will be included.

Gosho, you might be making some confusion. Alpha doesn't come after a beta.

alpha version: internal, under-construction version, developper only version.

beta version: after the alpha version, this version is not only tested by developpers, but also by other staff and possibly by public.

release candidate: beta version that can possibly become the gold version.

gold version: The release version, but not shipped yet. (under replication process)

released: duh, the released, technically stable, version.

simple basic ai building behaviour issues are abound like the fact ai can't automatically use mining choppers.

Also para dropped vehicles via non map trigger/rock patch 1.07 means causes the hva's of voxels to mess up.

And you gotta love a mod where u can launch two nukes at once or a plutonium anthrax bomb which uses virus death anim  Rolling Eyes

And I have to say that the screenshots page contains some very old screenshots-we need to put in some new ones in order for it to reflect the real mod.

I was wondering when CCCP Gosho would make this thread. This mod may sound wacked, but, if th 11thROCK can pull this off, this is gonna be a hilarious mod.

BTW Gosho, I'm also a beta tester. But I might have to cancel it; No internet at home at the moment.

This seems to me  like a cram everything we can find into the game mod.

You also make no sense when you tell us its completion nearness.

imo,this seems like a cheap way of making a mod and it seems really hyped up.

I agree with everything Morpher said.. this is just a whacked up mod with 20 different ideas, There's no originality Rolling Eyes. I've summed it up as this:

CCP: Hey Rock I got a good idea!
The11thRock: Hmm?
CCP: We cram all the sides from WW2, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, and some lost Ancients! And guess what? I've got a picture of you naked last night! and if you don't make it, guess what'll happen?
The11thRock: O_o!!! I'll get to making it...

See what I mean? Laughing (no offense intended to anyone)

well an inspirational from Eagle Red.
And Eagle Red some says its a n00bish type mod but its good a little.

Seeing the mod. It turn out bad for me when i see some stuff that is an experimental like the heli miners, para tanks etc...

Plug And Play.


well im no offense at this mod

but i keep telling drewrock11 make somewhat like a professional mod.
