How should I set my CnCNet 4.0 settings for best performance online with Yuris Revenge?

For instance, what is "Use faster peer-to-peer connection"?

That setting makes CnCNet connect you directly to other players instead of using a server in between, which supposedly is faster. CnCNet will normally enable it for you when it detects it works for you, which depends on whether or not the port CnCNet uses is opened on your router.

Of whether or not it's actually faster I'm not sure since I've noticed CnCNet 4 being a bit slower and less stable than CnCNet 3, but this could possibly have been because some of us were playing with peer-to-peer connection enabled, while others were playing with it disabled and it mixing it might still be a bit unstable.

In any case, just using the default settings (being the settings CnCNet recommends for you) should (in theory) work fastest (and if not, hifi will likely fix this sooner or later).

I didn't noticed an issue yet with CnCNet4 (except that it didn't worked with CnCNet3 dlls (whoops xD) and the Timeout issue I already mentioned on it's forums).

Also, for some reason I feel CnCNet4 a bit faster than CnCNet3. Tho yeah, we don't even tried peer-to-peer yet.

One thing is sure, it's as good as CnCNet3 already if not better.

I don't think v4 is noticably slower, but with DTA the amount of reconnection errors seems to have almost doubled with the release of v4 (and this is between players who almost never had sync losses with v3). We haven't tested if the P2P setting affects it though.

Well, MO also uses CnCNet for MP tests since v3.2 and we only ran into IEs tripped by my code, so...
