The US unit list is filling up quickly, all that is left now are the naval units. I've made a few changes tho, most notably two new supply/cargo units but more on that later.

Work on their buildings is steadily progressing, the power plant, barracks, factory & airfield are done. I prefer to post pics of them once they are all done tho so you'll have to wait a bit longer #Tongue

Even tho technically buildings here are some new defensive buildings & a offensive one!

M51 75mm Skysweeper

The last towed anti-aircraft gun in service with the US army, it has a radar system, computer & auto-loader all in one carriage, making it the most accurate & fastest firing fixed AA gun in D-day.

T8 105mm

Designed at the end of WW2 to take on Germany's heaviest tanks. Experience had shown that more mobile tank destroyers like the M10 & M36 where more efficient tho, so towed anti-tank guns where phased out of service & the T8 stayed just a prototype.

M65 280mm

Designed to fire nuclear shells at long range, the M65 is arguably the most destructive artillery cannon ever made. In D-day it serves as America's post-war superweapon.

Now onto some new units...

Dodge 1 1/2

The standard cargo/transport truck of the US army during the 30's, in D-day its used as the pre-war supply vehicle.

M38 Wolfhound

Late-war medium armoured car designed to replace the M8 greyhound, very few were made before production was cancelled at the end of the war.

T2

Pre-war experimental full tracked cargo vehicle, in D-day you can use it to repair other units.

T31

Experimental demolitions tank armed with a 105mm howitzer & two 7.2 inch rocket launchers.

McDonnell Model 120

Prototype crane/cargo helicopter using tip-mounted pressure jets to rotate the blades. In D-day its used as the post-war supply vehicle.

A-17 Nomad

Pre-war ground attack plane used by many different countries, France ordered over 90 of them but fell before they arrived.

B-10

When built in 1934 the B-10 out performed everything else that had come before & is considered a mile stone in aviation history. The rapid advancement technology meant that by 40's tho it was woefully outclassed & took heavy losses to the Japanese Zeros.

B-18 Bolo

Designed to replace the B-10, it fared no better when most where destroyed on the ground in the opening stages of the pacific war.

I kind of confused as to why the M65 is the United State's post war super weaon. Surely an atomic bomb dropped from a plane is far move devastating that an artillery barrage? Nuclear or otherwise =S

But the U.S. made the first nukes. If anybody should have it, the U.S. and Soviets should be the only ones.

The US also have an atomic equipped B-29 which they get late-war, I could of just added a different plane dropping pretty much the same bomb again in post-war but they get the M65 instead for some variation.

Under the special deal by which the British gave the US the Jet engine, the Brits got the Atomic Bomb. The aim, I assume, was to give both allies the ability to deploy atomic weapons.

The British post-war SW is a Vickers-C dropping multiple Grandslam bombs, not as shiny as a nuke but makes a big bang...

Good stuff. How would the helicopter fly without something keeping it from spinning around?

The helicopter uses pressure jets mounted at the tips of the blades, such a system nullifies any torque so a tail rotor isn't necessary.

intriguing, why such a system didn't find widespread use?

Namely because pressure jets are too unreliable and in reality couldn't produce enough forward momentum to spin the blades when faced with nasty emergency situations such as downdrafts.

Another problem would be the intense vibrations caused problems with the line connectors. If just one fails, the other two would knock the system off balance, essentially tearing the blade assembly apart.

All the turrets need shadows.
Other than that, it's a nice collection of quality SHP and VXL work.

Oh god, the T31 Demolition tank. One of the more retarded looking designs that came out of the WW2 era.

(though 105mm howitzer armed Pershing looks equally, if not more pathetic)

you can export the voxels to obj using voxelse.
import the obj to max and load camera settings.
find te correct size and render it.

works atleast very good for TD/RA size shps #Tongue
