The original, Tournament Battle for Dune:

So after entering the Cartographers Call competition, it put me in the mood. The mood... for mapping. Today I created this rather bodged tournament map, great for playing those long Robot Storm comp stomps on.

The director's cut, Battle for Dune:

Three years on I have decided to edit the map. I add some cliffs behind the players bases, removed 4 Oil Derricks from either side of the map and added 2 replacement Tech Machine Shops (one player loses out on the Machine Shop advantage from either side).

Graphically I have adjusted the lighting to a nice creamy yellow, screenshots below show the new look. There are also some minor LAT edits.

ohhhhhhhh Approved although it looks to me that the right side has less ore. and nah dont add a gem field.

Updated it so that the right players get a couple more cells of ore. Their patches are also more concentrated than lefts. Change log is in the first post. Also uploaded a small vid of it, with Robot Storm.

DIDNT UPDATE MINIMAP.

So folks I've updated the map above with some little edits, known as the director's cut. Altered the lighting, added cliffs around the back of the players bases and adjusted the Tech buildings somewhat. Both versions are available.

I did not xD ToE was fun but it was horrific for camping and building prism and gap gens all around the cliffs
