Video Briefings
I made a template for briefings. This project for Adobe After Effects. I think that with this blank, we will be able to create your briefing for mission very quickly.
You can use this as long as you credit me.

I would advise you to use the VQA format for them. See here.
VQA vs Bink : Click on the image to view at full size VQA (10 mb)Bink (35 mb)
In VQA background looks a little worse. In Bink, text very blurred.
Here are the settings VQA Enc which I used
In the subject of VQA have a video in VQA format, and it looks much better. Last edited by Glukv48 on Sun Nov 23, 2014 10:51 pm; edited 2 times in total QUICK_EDIT
Oh damn that's way cooler than I thought, nice one. Couple that with some voice acting and it'd be rather brilliant. And that VQA quality is really great, is the file size the same as bink? QUICK_EDIT
What were the BINK encoding parameters??? Maximum compress?
Also I have to say I am baffled at the 30,000 blocks setting given 0.3 version readme states the following:
BLOCKS - This is the major factor in determining the output quality and file size.
Tiberian Sun movies have this set to about 6000.
The larger the number, the slower the encoding will go.
I suggest a reasonable value of something between 4000-6000.
The absolute limit (due to the VQA scheme) is 8192.
If this parameter is omitted, a default value of 4000 is assumed.
KEY - This is the other parameter that affects both quality and encoding speed.
It specifies how many successive frames will be processed in a row.
Back in the old C&C and RA1 days, this was set to 8, but TS movies don't do
things this way anymore. This encoder does, however...
The maximum is 255 frames, default is 64.
Generally, you should keep it between 50-150, the higher the number, the greater
the compression and a somewhat lower quality.
So 8192 is supposed(?) to be VQA format blocks limit yet you've exceeded it many times over...
Unless encoder simply reset the value to maximum possible automaticly.
VQA quality is fine apart from the unfortunate background dithering quantization and for that reason it is terrible for any live motion and why Westwood abandon it eventually. QUICK_EDIT

Wow, very nice. Is this the replacement for the campaign loading screens? (I don't see any loading bar grow on the bottom of briefing) _________________ Mod Leader and founder of World Domination
